Abstract

Ushul fiqh as a discipline that constructs the basic principles of Islamic law has a deep significance for the paradigm of unity of Sciences. Conceptually, ushul fiqh is not only concerned with methods of legal reasoning but also serves as a philosophical foundation and practical reform in uniting the various branches of Islamic science. The unity of knowledge enables the integration of Islamic legal principles with global issues, social dynamics, contemporary problems and creates harmony between reason and revelation. Thus, a holistic understanding of ushul fiqh not only provides a theoretical basis for Islamic legal thought, but also enriches the people's insight in responding to the dynamics of the times.
