Abstract

Abstrak: Pandemi Covid-19 mengajarkan betapa pentingnya bidang pariwisata tidak hanya menyediakan konten hiburan saja, tetapi juga mendorong penyediaan bentuk tawaran wisata yang berfokus pada sumber pembelajaran. Penelitian ini mengkaji Objek wisata Kampung Coklat sebagai contoh sukses dari pengelolaan pariwisata berbasis edukasi yang mampu bertahan dan bahkan terus berkembang di tengah krisis. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif menggunakan metode penelitian lapangan (field research) karena dalam penggalian data peneliti berhubungan langsung dengan objek yang akan di kembangkan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan triangulasi melalui teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teori Miles dan Huberman yang dilakukan terdiri dari tiga alur kegiatan yang terjadi secara bersamaan, yaitu kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verivikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kampung Coklat telah berhasil menggabungkan elemen-elemen edukatif ke dalam setiap aspek kegiatannya sebagai tawaran wisata dan sumber belajar. Pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman ini tidak hanya mendukung teori experiential learning (Kolb, 1984), tetapi juga memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap peningkatan kapasitas wisatawan dalam hal keterampilan dan pengetahuan. Keberadaan program-program yang dirancang secara mendalam tersebut berkontribusi pada keberlanjutan pariwisata berbasis edukasi, dengan memastikan wisatawan mendapatkan pengalaman yang bermakna dan aplikatif. Diperlukan inovasi tawaran wisata melalui kolaborasi dengan lembaga pendidikan juga memperkuat aspek wisata edukatif ini, menciptakan simbiosis yang saling menguntungkan antara institusi pendidikan dan pengelola pariwisata.

Abstract: The Covid-19 pandemic has taught us how important it is for the tourism sector not only to provide entertainment content, but also to encourage the provision of tourism offerings that focus on learning resources. This research examines the Kampung Brown tourist attraction as a successful example of education-based tourism management that is able to survive and even continue to develop in the midst of a crisis. This research is a type of qualitative research with a research approach using field research methods because in extracting data the researcher is directly related to the object to be developed. The data collection technique uses triangulation through observation, interview and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman theory which consists of three simultaneous activity flows, namely data condensation, data presentation, and concluding/verification. The results of the study show that Kampung Coklat has succeeded in combining educational elements into every aspect of its activities as a tourism offering and learning resource. This experience-based learning not only supports the theory of experiential learning (Kolb, 1984), but also makes a real contribution to increasing the capacity of tourists in terms of skills and knowledge. The existence of these in-depth designed programs contributes to the sustainability of education-based tourism, by ensuring that tourists get meaningful and applicable experiences. Innovation in tourism offerings through collaboration with educational institutions is needed to strengthen the educational tourism aspect, creating a mutually beneficial symbiosis between educational institutions and tourism managers.
